Seat Pagine Gialle and Commerce One set to launch e-marketplace

through Seat affiliate Matrix

Commerce One, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMRC), the leader in global e-commerce solutions for business, announced today that it has been chosen to provide the technology platform for Seat Pagine Gialle S.p.a. (Borsa Italiana: SPG), the leading European publisher of telephone directories and, through its merger with Tin.it, the leading Italian Internet service provider. The Seat PG e-marketplace will be specifically dedicated to business-to-business and public administration e-commerce. Andersen Consulting, selected as technology partner, will manage the project development, implementation and system integration.

The Seat PG e-marketplace will become the Italian regional hub of the Commerce One Global Trading Web(TM), the world's largest business-to-business trading community. It is expected that the Seat PG e-marketplace will allow enterprises throughout Italy to save costs and streamline purchasing processes.

The e-marketplace, to be launched through Seat affiliate Matrix S.p.a., will provide Italian companies with the full potential of Internet technology in order to simplify and innovate all the purchasing and sales procedures for indirect products. The e-marketplace will also provide e-commerce services such as content management, purchase process automation, tenders, and requests for quotation and auctions.
