Commerce One, the Business Internet Company (Nasdaq:CMRC), is hosting its first conference for the European-based International Commerce One Network (ICON) User Group this week. The event will provide a global forum for Commerce One customers and partners to network, provide feedback and obtain information on the next-generation of collaborative commerce solutions. Attendees will include more than 100 long-standing European Commerce One customers such as Akzo Nobel, BAE Systems, British Telecom, Opciona, and Siemens.

Commerce One Chairman and CEO Mark Hoffman and Chief Strategy Officer Alexsis de Raadt-St. James will host the event and will outline Commerce One's vision to support and enhance enterprise sourcing and procurement over the next five years.

Commerce One now has 68 `live' e-procurement projects across Europe and 81 e-marketplaces representing a 32% market share in the European buy-side application sector according to a recent Gartner Group report. Other Commerce One customers in Europe attending include: Air Liquide, Deutsche Telekom, Sasol, and Volvo.

Following the global launch of Commerce One 5.0 last week, customers will have access to new product demonstrations and participate in-depth sessions on Commerce One Buy(TM), Commerce One Source(TM) and the Commerce One Collaborative Platform(TM). Customers will learn how these products address business process flows tailored for their unique enterprise, industry, region and trading partner requirements. In addition, feedback sessions will enable customers to further influence the future direction of collaborative commerce technology. The conference also features a Commerce One Partner Showcase. Participating partners include: Accenture, Clarus, Compaq, Microsoft, and PwC.
