Commerce One (Nasdaq:CMRC) today announced new additions to its customer roster in the fourth quarter of 2002. Leading companies such as the South African Post Office selected Commerce One supplier relationship management (SRM) solutions to gain visibility and control over their supply networks. Additionally, leading consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, including Bel/Kaukauna U.S.A., Daisy Brands, Hoffmaster/Creative Expressions and Sargento Foods Inc. purchased Commerce One Xpress(TM) solutions to improve collaboration across their supply chains.

The South African Post Office, the prime mover of written and published information in South Africa servicing 40 million people, selected the entire Commerce One 5.0(TM) suite to deliver savings on its annual corporate spend of over three billion rand. Commerce One 5.0 will be deployed to approximately 4,000 employees to manage the South African Post Office's complete source-to-pay business process, increasing procurement efficiencies and reducing costs.
