) announced today that is has launched a special "Coins For Caring" campaign that will benefit the American Red Cross' efforts to assist the victims of Tuesday's attacks on Manhattan and Washington, DC.

To help start the campaign, Commerce will make an initial contribution of $10,000 to the American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross. . In addition, Commerce is encouraging people who have spare change to stop by the Commerce branch nearest them to use the bank's free Penny Arcade Noun 1. penny arcade - an arcade with coin-operated devices for entertainment

 coin counting machines and then donate all or a portion of the cash they receive to the "Coins For Caring" campaign.

The free, self-service Penny Arcade coin counting machines are easy to use and conveniently located next to the teller counter at every Commerce branch. Commerce has a network of 165 branches serving New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and northern Delaware.

Despite the unspeakable size of the tragedy, however, people throughout the region and America must join together to help our nation rebound strongly. Our `Coins For Caring' campaign is one way everyone can help with the rebuilding process," said Commerce Chairman and President Vernon W. Hill.

Along with collecting coins, all 165 Commerce branches throughout the region also will serve as collection points for other cash contributions to the American Red Cross relief efforts. In addition, contributions to the "Coins For Caring" campaign can be sent to:
