 debut last September, Commerce has opened a total of seven branches throughout Manhattan.

Later this fall, Commerce will open three more Manhattan branches located at:


    Gramercy Park:                     32nd Street & Park Avenue
    Upper West Side:                   74th Street & Broadway
    Upper East Side:                   77th Street & Second Avenue



Commerce plans to build a network of nearly 30 Manhattan branches during the course of the next four years.

Commerce expects total deposits at its Manhattan branches to reach approximately $600 million by the conclusion of 2002.

All of the current and future Manhattan branches feature Commerce Bank's hallmark hallmark, mark impressed on silverwork or goldwork to signify official approval of the standard of purity of the metal, also called plate mark.
