He advised corporations, their officers and directors, and audit committees on internal investigations and a wide range of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) related matters.

In addition, Bono has written numerous articles and lectured frequently on securities, class action and audit committee issues. He also has chaired American Bar Association American Bar Association (ABA), voluntary organization of lawyers admitted to the bar of any state. Founded (1878) largely through the efforts of the Connecticut Bar Association, it is devoted to improving the administration of justice, seeking uniformity of law  (ABA) committees involving securities and accounting issues and was the primary author and editor of the ABA's "Model Jury Instructions for Securities Litigation."
