Comment and Analysis: OBITUARY.Gaby RadoAWARD-WINNING foreign correspondent Gaby Rado's career saw him covering many of the greatest upheavals around the world in the last decade.After moving to Channel 4 News to specialise in foreign affairs, theHungarianborn journalist found himself reporting on major conflict and political change on a regular basis. He joined ITN ITN n abbr (Brit) (= Independent Television News) → chaîne de télévision commerciale ITN (Brit) n abbr (TV) (= Independent Television News) → in 1985, working as a writer for the news provider before becoming a reporter on Channel 4 News in 1988. His portfolio of reports which have sent him around the world include the fall of communism in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, the war in Bosnia and the conflict in Kosovo. Rado, who was born in Budapest and emigrated to England when he was eight,also worked as Channel 4 News Moscow correspondent from 1991-92. In June last year,Rado won an award for his report on the human cost of the atrocities committed in the Balkan wars.
