)--William C. Vassell, president of Command Security Corp., a rapidly growing $40 million provider of security guard services and John B. Goldsborough, president of United Security Group Inc. today announced that Command intends to acquire the business of United Security Group, a leading New York New York, state, United States
New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of
 based security services firm with annual revenues of $25 million.

The combination, which is in connection with United's Chapter 11 reorganization, is expected to make Command one of the largest contract security companies in the New York metropolitan area New York–Northern New Jersey–Long Island is the most populous metropolitan area in the United States and the third most populous in the world, after Tokyo and Mexico City.  and among the 15 largest in the United States. The transaction is expected to be completed within the next 30 to 45 days upon completion of financing and related due diligence Research; analysis; your homework. "We feel the United transaction will offer attractive shareholder value since it includes United's Management Safeguards and Aviation Safeguards operating divisions and United's seasoned industry management led by Mr. Goldsborough, a former executive officer of Burns International Security Services Inc.," Vassell added.

The United transaction will delay the effectiveness of Command's pending registration statement covering the securities of investors in the company's 1993 private placement until such time as the company amends the registration statement to include certain financial information of United.

Command Security Corp. provides security guard services through company-owned offices in New York, New Jersey, California, Illinois, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Florida and provides back-office service agreements to independent security companies nationwide.
