Command Software expresses concern that the ethics of the anti-virus testing procedures are upheld.

JUPITER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 25, 1996--Command Software Systems officially expressed concern today about the possible compromise of testing practices in the anti-virus industry.

"We at Command are concerned that the ethics and methodologies of anti-virus testing are strictly upheld," said Dyan Dyer, CEO and president of Command Software. "Most importantly the public must not be misled or confused by uncertified and unrecognized testing organizations. Relying upon invalid or unrecognized reports used in print advertising, on a box and or on a Web site is dangerous. It does a disservice not only to customers but to those of use who have fought for ethical standards and unbiased testing in the industry."

"It is unfortunately quite common for unauthorized testers to omit from the comparison, products that might prove more effective than the product that they are representing," Dyer further commented. "Therefore end users should rely upon results coming from valid testing organizations only. Examples of these are NCSA, NSTL NSTL - National Security Threat List (Counterintelligence)
NSTL - National Software Testing Laboratory
NSTL - National Space Technology Laboratory
NSTL - National Standards Testing Laboratory
NSTL - National Strategic Target List
NSTL - National Study Team Leader
NSTL - Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (India)
Software Digest, Secure Computing and Virus Bulletin. These are organizations that conduct objective reviews of the entire field of products, encompassing the established benchmarks of the industry."

Command Software Systems, Inc., is a leading anti-virus and security software company and developer of the highly regarded F-PROT PROT - Plano Regional de Ordenamento do Território (Portugal)
PROT - Protective
Professional. The company is based in Jupiter, Florida.
