 in China's telecommunications industry, today announced they will collaborate on delivering advanced Internet Protocol See Internet and TCP/IP.

In their first joint initiative, the two companies have commenced interoperability testing of their products for high-speed CDMA2000 1XRTT wireless networks. Customer trials of the joint CommWorks/Eastcom solution are planned for the second quarter of 2002 with one or more wireless service providers in China.

CommWorks' products involved in the interoperability testing include the Total Control(R) 1000 Packet Data Serving Node The Packet Data Serving Node, or PDSN, is a component of a CDMA2000 mobile network.
