CommVision attracts second round of venture financing and names new executive vide president of sales and marketing.


MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 9, 1995--CommVision Corp. Monday announced announced that it completed a second round of venture financing, raising $4.5 million.

The company also appointed Harry Quackenboss to the position of executive vice president of sales and marketing. Quackenboss was formerly general manager of worldwide sales for Cisco Systems' Workgroup Business Unit.

CommVision's second round of venture financing was provided by two new investors: Burr burr (bur) bur.

, Egan, Deleage & Co. and Bay Partners, as well as by the two initial investors, Brentwood Associates and Crosspoint Venture Partners. With this additional financing, total venture capital raised by CommVision amounts to $8.1 million. These funds will support continued product development, sales and marketing activities.
