Cahners Business Information has announced the launch today of CommVerge inSITE, a semi-monthly email newsletter that augments the CommVerge print magazine and Web site (www.commvergemag.com). A joint venture of CommVerge and e-inSITE, the Electronics Industry Knowledge Network (www.e-insite.net), CommVerge inSITE extends the ability of CommVerge to serve the technical visionaries who are shaping today's converging computer, communications, and consumer-electronics industries.

Moreover, CommVerge covers the services that ride on top of the ubiquitous networks and drive the new economy.

"With CommVerge inSITE, we're moving forward with our promise to be the data stream for visionaries of the convergence era," said Maury Wright, CommVerge's editor. "We're extremely proud of the loyal reader base that we've developed. But we also realize that given the fast-paced convergence arena, we must leverage all types of media to ensure we best serve our readers' needs."

CommVerge inSITE will include breaking news, updates to previous articles from the CommVerge print edition and Web site, guest opinions, trade-show news, and print issue reviews and previews. The newsletter will be distributed every other Wednesday.

"e-inSITE offers a host of vertical newsletters on topics ranging from electronic design automation to analog design. "CommVerge inSITE will also offer unique opportunities to CommVerge business partners," said George Fox, CommVerge's sales director. "Our research shows that we will quickly develop a far larger subscriber base for CommVerge inSITE than the 40,000 qualified subscribers who receive the print edition of CommVerge. We believe the increased reach will offer great value for our partners who want to reach our extremely influential reader base."

With a target audience as diverse as engineers, marketers, managers, information-technology professionals, the financial and legal communities, and others, CommVerge represents a new and different model in business-to-business publishing.
