"A year ago, all of our servers were managed separately. Our goal has been to reduce cost through centralizing management of these servers, and automating backup. That's why we selected CommVault's Galaxy," said Karl Schoellnast, vice president of IT production support, Raymond James & Associates. "Of the four enterprise-class software packages we evaluated, only Galaxy met all four of our criteria: the ability to centralize server management; tight integration with our EMC Symmetrix The Symmetrix is EMC's flagship enterprise storage array. Galaxy reduces the need for human mediation in the data backup and restoration processes and allows administrators to recover lost or corrupted data quickly and with minimal operational downtime. Under the terms of CommVault's site license agreement with Raymond James, Galaxy will provide data protection for an installed base of over 450 Windows NT (Windows New Technology) A 32-bit operating system from Microsoft for Intel x86 CPUs.
