CommTech Corporation, which provides Web-based, zero-touch, end-to-end flow-through provisioning and eBusiness infrastructure solutions, and Portal Software (Nasdaq:PRSF), the world's leading provider of real-time, flexible customer management solutions, announced an alliance to integrate Portal's Infranet(R) products with CommTech's FastFlow(R) Order Fulfillment, FastFlow(R) Service Activation, and FastFlow(R) eSuite products to address service delivery/management issues faced by next-generation communications service providers (CSPs). The two companies will also deliver pre-integrated solutions for CSPs via CommTech's FastFlow(R) ASP offering. On February 2, 2000, CommTech became the first company to announce a customer for an ASP-hosted OSS offer when it revealed that rapidly-growing Canadian CLEC Combined Telecom Inc. (CTI) had selected its FastFlow ASP offering.

Through FastFlow ASP, CommTech serves as an application service provider (ASP) that, with its partners, offers pre-integrated, hosted software applications to providers of voice, DSL, cable, and other services.
