LAS VEGAS Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States.  -- CommPartners, an IP-based network operator and telephony services and solutions provider, today announced that Station 53, a provider of global high-speed satellite Internet connectivity at sea, has selected its network and applications platform to provide Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services to yachting vessels. Station 53 utilizes CommPartners' network combined with advanced satellite technology to provide its customers with VoIP service on-board, with a coverage area consisting of the U.S. Caribbean, and Mediterranean Sea.

"CommPartners' telephony solutions enable us to meet the needs of our customers by providing a superior quality voice experience in an environment where communications have traditionally been very difficult and costly to manage," said Sean Farrell, President, Station 53. "This partnership will change how our customers communicate while at sea, and we are currently the only company able to provide these services at comparable speed and cost."

As a result of this partnership, CommPartners enables Station 53 to provide sea vessels with VoIP phone service, drastically reducing GSM and satellite airtime charges. "The Apogee's captain has told me he is impressed with the unmatched quality Station 53 and CommPartners provides in VoIP services at a very reasonable price, and he is pleased with the crew's decision to work with us," said Farrell.
