CommASIC Achieves Wi-Fi Certification.

SAN DIEGO -- CommASIC announced today that it is the first company to receive 802.11 b/g+WPA Wi-Fi(R) certification with Compact Flash interface. Part of the LP1070 low power WLAN BB/MAC family, the LP1072(TM) is designed for embedded 802.11 a/b/g power sensitive and size constrained devices such as dualmode handsets and consumer electronics handheld devices. Wi-Fi certification indicates that CommASIC's product has been proven to work seamlessly with all other Wi-Fi CERTIFIED(TM) 802.11b/g products in the industry.

The Wi-Fi CERTIFIED LP1072, along with the rest of the IC products in the LP1070 Family, are commercially available and shipping to customers today. All three products -- the LP1072 for Compact Flash, LP1071 for SDIO and the LP1070FC flip-chip device, utilize the same LP1070 core design and provide exactly the same 802.11 a/b/g functionality except for the different host interfaces supported. All three IC solutions are based on CommASIC's latest WBSP(TM) technology, a revolutionary architecture that enables super low power consumption.
