Comic co. inks Toy Tower lease.


Adams Adams, town (1990 pop. 9,445), Berkshire co., NW Mass., in the Berkshires, on the Hoosic River; inc. 1778. Its manufactures include chemicals, textiles, and paper products. The Berkshire region attracts tourists year-round.  & Co. recently brokered a five-year, nine month, 5,298 s/f lease for Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc. at 1115 Broadway Broadway, famous thoroughfare in New York City. It extends from Bowling Green near the foot of Manhattan island N to 262d St. in the Bronx. Throughout its length Broadway is chiefly a commercial street. , also known as Toy Tower 25. Although terms of the lease were undisclosed, asking rents for the space were $25 per square foot.

The building, for which Adams & Co. serves as the exclusive leasing agent, contains five full floors of toy/ Christmas Christmas [Christ's Mass], in the Christian calendar, feast of the nativity of Jesus, celebrated in Roman Catholic and Protestant Churches on Dec. 25. In liturgical importance it ranks after Easter, Pentecost, and Epiphany (Jan. 6).  showroom tenants. Other tenants include Lego Systems and The Little Tykes Co.

After more than 20 years of service, Diamond has emerged as the world's largest distributor of English-language comics and related merchandise, with a network of strategically located distribution centers throughout the world. The company also is the exclusive distributor to the comic book comic book

James Buslik of Adams & Co. represented the tenant and landlord in the transaction. "For years, this specialty building has been the ideal spot for toy manufacturers and Diamond fits in perfectly," Buslik said.
