(Nasdaq:VIGN), the leading supplier of customer-driven Internet applications, today jointly announced an alliance whereby Vignette(R) applications will be used to run Comerica's redesigned Web site, http://www.comerica.com/.

In addition to meeting its customers' daily banking needs, the new Comerica site will offer access to detailed service information and tools specially designed to help users with key life events such as buying a house or planning for retirement. Personalization, content management and automated trigger capability will also be deployed through Vignette applications to meet the requirements of Comerica's small-business and corporate banking customers. Comerica selected Vignette because of its ability to provide dynamic content and highly personalized information that anticipates the needs of its customers.

Vignette's integrated suite of customer-driven Internet applications provides the banking company with an enterprisewide solution that allows it to easily manage and update large quantities of content, communicate and interact with its back-end systems, and provide a comprehensive understanding of its customers' online actions. When launched, the site will offer Comerica's customers a robust and dependable destination where they can find the most current information pertaining to their banking needs.
