Early Life Donnelly was raised in the Irish Catholic community of Tooting and attended the Jesuit secondary school Wimbledon College. in the monthly dose of mirth. John started his comedy career in Scotland in May 2000 and just two months later was participating in his first fringe of the Edinburgh festival Edinburgh Festival International festival of the arts, with an emphasis on music and drama. Founded in 1947 by Rudolf Bing, it is held for three weeks each summer. Its theatrical offerings include plays by major international theatrical companies; plays premiered at the in Stand up Scotland - a showcase for the best new talent emerging on the Scottish circuit. NORTH-EAST comedian ROSS NOBLE (pictured above) will be on Teesside next week as his new UK tour gets under way. The 32-year-old, who grew up in Cramlington, Northumberland, now lives Down Under with his Australian wife Fran and their young baby. He recently lost his Australian home in the devastating bush fires - but confirmed that his upcoming tour will still go ahead. Their farm was one of around 750 homes near Melbourne which have been destroyed in the bush fires sweeping the state of Victoria. It is one of around 1,000 across the country which have been wiped out by the blazes, leaving 5,000 people homeless and hundreds more dead. Ross will be at Billingham's Forum Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday. The new tour, which kicks off tomorrow, takes Ross the length and breadth of the UK until June. WIL HODGSON is bringing his brand new 2008 Edinburgh show - Chippenham On My Shoulder - to The Waiting Room in Eaglescliffe on March 8. Apart from his usual references to his love for My Little Pony, big women and now The Spice Girls (and other bubblegum pop), he will be talking about his time at wrestling school and the people he met there, as well as his pro-wrestling career.
