Recently named one of "Comedy Central's 100 Greatest Comics of All Time," writer/comedian/animal activist Elayne Boosler was first discovered by famed comedian Andy Kaufman Andrew Geoffrey Kaufman (January 17, 1949 – May 16, 1984) was an American entertainer, actor, and performance artist. Though many refer to him as a comedian, Kaufman did not self-identify as one[1].  while filling in at a music/comedy club where she waited tables. Since then, Boosler has become one of the most well known comedians on the circuit.
