Come and join the PARTY; The Famous Grouse calls on Scots to celebrate the nation's Patron Saint.


THE FAMOUS GROUSE grouse, common name for a game bird of the colder parts of the Northern Hemisphere. There are about 18 species. Grouse are henlike terrestrial birds, protectively plumaged in shades of red, brown, and gray.  knows that Scots are incredibly proud of their heritage and their country - from its rich history and inspiring scenery to its great people.

The Famous Grouse is bringing back the 30.11 Make it Famous campaign for the second year running to encourage Scots to get behind our Patron Saint patron saint

Saint to whose protection and intercession a person, society, church, place, profession, or activity is dedicated. The choice is usually made on the basis of some real or presumed relationship (e.g., St.
 day on 30th November.

, from the 26th to 30th November, The Famous Grouse will be holding Scottish celebrations in bars across the length and breadth of the country.

Revellers can soak up the party atmosphere at specially selected venues in and around Aberdeen, Perth, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Each will feature handpicked bands which will perform in each venue over the five days to get the crowds in the spirit with a mixture of upbeat Scottish classics and modern hits.

The Famous St Andrew's Celebrations will culminate with the highly coveted four-piece Ceilidh cei·lidh  
n.
An Irish or Scottish social gathering with traditional music, dancing, and storytelling.
