Comdisco Technical Services receives ISO 9002 registration for reconditioning high-tech equipment.

ROSEMONT, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 10, 1996--Comdisco Technical Services (CTS), a division of Comdisco Inc., has become the largest high-tech equipment reconditioning facility to receive the prestigious ISO 9002 registration. The registration covers a broad range of products and CTS is the only facility certified to recondition mainframes and telecommunications equipment. The IS0 9002 standard is an internationally accepted model for quality assurance in production and installation.

CTS, located in a 250,000-square-foot facility in Schaumburg, Illinois, has been committed to providing quality reconditioned equipment since it opened in 1980. The facility is registered for its processes relating to the storage, reconditioning and reconfiguration of PCs, terminal products, communications, point-of-sale, and mainframe equipment. CTS mainframe field installation and upgrade processes are also ISO certified.

Comdisco Technical Services is the second Comdisco division to be ISO 9002 certified. In 1994, Comdisco Medical Exchange, a 100,000 square foot reconditioning facility, was the world's first high-tech medical equipment reconditioning facility to receive the certification.
