Comdial appoints distributor for Argentina and Uruguay.


CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 21, 1997--Comdial (NASDAQ/NMS:CMDL CMDL Climate Monitoring and Diagnostics Laboratory

) announced today that it has signed a multi-year, multi-million dollar distributor agreement with Buenos Aries-based Comdial Argentina, S.A., an independent distributor. Under terms of the agreement, Comdial Argentina, S.A. is authorized au·thor·ize

, and DXP Plus digital switching products and selected computer-telephone integration software products. Sales will commence once technical approvals from the appropriate local authorities are complete. This process is well underway in Argentina, and should be complete within the next 60 days.
