Comdial Unveils New IP Telephone - The iPrimo SCS at NASTD Tradeshow.

With Comdial's iPrimo SCS phone, users simply plug into their company's LAN (Local Area Network) A communications network that serves users within a confined geographical area. The "clients" are the user's workstations typically running Windows, although Mac and Linux clients are also used.  or WAN for instant access to the IP network. Employees can use their high-speed Internet connection to access the corporate network from anywhere, whether traveling, telecommuting telecommuting, an arrangement by which people work at home using a computer and telephone, transmitting work material to a business office by means of a modem and telephone lines; it is also known as telework.  from home, or visiting a branch office.

Features that come standard with the iPrimo SCS IP telephone include: a large LCD display with 13 interactive soft keys, twelve user-programmable buttons for speed dial numbers and other features, automatic DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) Software that automatically assigns temporary IP addresses to client stations logging into an IP network. It eliminates having to manually assign permanent "static" IP addresses. DHCP software runs in servers and routers.  support, advanced dialing options, hands-free communication, plus much more.

Over 60 percent of state telecom directors from throughout the United States attended the show. The iPrimo will be released throughout the country this month, along with Comdial's newest FX software that supports IP telephony.
