Comdial Corporation (Nasdaq:CMDL) announced today the launch of a new low-priced, expandable telecommunications system, the DX-80(TM), designed with advanced features to meet the needs of the smaller business market. The DX-80 will be demonstrated at the CT Expo trade show in Los Angeles, March 6 - 8, 2001 (Booth No. 519).

While priced to be affordable for even the smallest business, the DX-80 incorporates features normally found only in larger, much more expensive systems. The DX-80's enhanced feature set includes automated attendant, call recording, line call screening, name/number Caller ID, plus much more. The DX-80 telephone set is fully programmable to meet all company-specific requirements. The optional on board voice mail system provides all of the advanced capabilities of Comdial's Small Office voice mail systems, with the ease and convenience of an in skin product. The DX-80 voice mail is available in two convenient packages, one designed to economically fit the needs of extremely small offices, and one designed to provide advanced voice processing and call handling features required for more robust applications.

The basic DX-80 system is equipped with 4 CO lines, 8 digital extensions and 4 analog ports. The system is easily expandable to 16 CO lines, 48 digital extensions and 8 analog ports. Optional voice processing capability includes 8 voice mail channels, and 130 hours of storage capacity.
