Comdial Appoints Paul K. Suijk Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 2000

) announced the appointment of Paul K. Suijk, 43, as the Company's new Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President.

"Paul brings to the Company his broad base of knowledge and expertise in corporate finance, as well as extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions which will allow us to take Comdial to the next level. Paul will be vital to our planned growth, new product development and expansion through acquisition," said William G. Mustain, Comdial President and Chief Executive Officer.

Initially we will focus on further enhancing the growth of Comdial's systems and solutions business, then we will look at other opportunities for growth.
