 Electronics Corporation announced today that it has begun offering disk replication services at its microfloppy manufacturing facility in Irvine, California Irvine is an incorporated city in Orange County, California, United States. It is a planned city, mainly developed by the Irvine Company since the 1960s. Formally incorporated on December 28 1971, the 69.7 square mile (180.5 km²) city has a population of 202,079 (as of 2007). . With a monthly manufacturing capacity in excess of 10 million disks, the TDK Irvine facility is now a major resource for all software manufacturers and developers seeking high-volume replication with unexcelled quality.

Frank Kramer, TDK National Industrial Sales Manager, noted that the company's decision to enter the replication business was part of TDK's overall commitment to serving the computer industry. Kramer added that TDK has many years of experience in disk replication. In Japan, the company operates state-of-the-art CD/CD-ROM manufacturing and 3.5" disk replication facilities, which supply product to many leading Japanese music and software computer-related developers.
