Comdata Establishes On-Site Permit Office for Landstar; Outsourced Over-the-Road Permits Offers Cost Saving Efficiency for Top Carrier.

Comdata Corporation(R), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ceridian Corporation (NYSE:CEN), announced today that it has established a permitting office on-site at the corporate headquarters of Landstar System, Inc., in Jacksonville, Fl., As the nation's premier over-the-road transportation capacity providers, Landstar is listed in FORBES magazine's Platinum 400 list of America's Best Big Companies. This is the first such regulatory compliance outsourcing agreement that Comdata has established among its more than 21,000 truckload carrier customers.

As part of the multi-year agreement, Comdata staffs its permitting office with five full-time employees who process and distribute oversize and overweight permits for Landstar's fleet of more than 8,000 owner-operator trucks. Landstar is the leading industry provider of transportation for oversize and overweight freight and a major supplier to the United States military. The company issues approximately 10,000 permits per month.
