 on Friday, June 4 to begin exploring the local arts community. The town of Charleston has been selected for national exposure in Bravo's original news magazine on the arts, ArtsBreak. Bravo's cameras will film a sampling of the area's diverse art offerings for the nationally telecast program. Penny Stallings, author and former MacNeil Lehrer arts correspondent, will host the program.

Bravo cameras will begin taping at the Philip Simmons Philip Simmons, b. June 9, 1912 is an artisan of Charleston, South Carolina who has specialized in ornamental iron since 1938. After an apprenticeship with Peter Simmons, a blacksmith on Calhoun Street, he has had a long career, fashioning more than five hundred decorative pieces  Studio Garden, interviewing with the most celebrated of Charleston ironworkers, Philip Simmons. Host, Penny Stallings will then travel to the Spoleto Festival Spoleto Festival, also called Festival of the Two Worlds, annual summer arts festival held in Spoleto, Italy.  featuring groups from around the world including an in-depth look at the Piccolo piccolo, small transverse flute pitched an octave higher than the standard flute. Bravo also plans to visit Charleston's well-known Art Forms and Ballet Symphony.

Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. of Charleston will also be interviewed by Penny Stallings for this special telecast.
