Comcast Cable Names Douglas Sansom as Vice President and General Manager For its Baltimore Metropolitan Area Systems.

BALTIMORE, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast Cable today announced that it has named Douglas Sansom as vice president and general manager for Comcast's Baltimore metropolitan area systems. Sansom's new responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day operations of Comcast's Baltimore metropolitan area systems serving Baltimore, Howard and Harford Counties.

Prior to his new position, Sansom served as vice president of operations for Comcast Cable in the Baltimore metropolitan area where he oversaw the implementation of marketing strategies and technical operations. Sansom joined Comcast from GTE where he served as assistant vice president in the company's Wireless Service Division. While at GTE, Sansom was involved in a number of projects, such as an audience segmentation program to launch overlay promotions and direct marketing programs.
Comcast Cable serves more than 320,000 customers in Baltimore, Howard and Harford Counties. Comcast, whose regional offices are located in White Marsh, employs more than 1,800 people in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.
