: Country Music Television will host an event for fans of country music and film on Friday, June 1, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the new Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is located at 222 Fifth Avenue South in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. Its mission is to identify and preserve the evolving history and traditions of country music and to educate its audiences.  in downtown Nashville.

The event will feature special limited-seating performances by CMA CMA - Concert Multithread Architecture from DEC.  Horizon Award-winner and Grammy-nominee Brad Paisley, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum and highlights of entries for the 32nd Annual Nashville Independent Film Festival. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Nashville Independent Film Festival and VH1's Save The Music program.

"Comcast is proud to begin its involvement in the Nashville community by supporting local education and entertainment in the wonderful new Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum," Comcast Area Vice President and General Manager Gene Shatlock said. "The chance to hear award-winning music and preview top-rate local film clips at a low cost is not something that comes along every day."

Tickets for the event are $25 and will be available at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased at www.ticketweb.com or by calling 800/965-4827.

"By benefiting VH1 Save the Music Foundation, this event will help bring attention to the importance of music education in our schools," said Bob Morrison, executive director for VH1 Save The Music Foundation. "In Nashville alone, we have worked with Comcast to donate $200,000 worth of musical instruments for eight local schools over the past two years, and in 2001 we will donate to five programs an estimated $125,000 of musical instruments. Events such as American Music and the Movies will help us continue to raise awareness and resources for this vital cause."

The Nashville Independent Film Festival is the longest-running film festival in the South and the third longest-running in the country. It is considered one of the top 40 film festivals in the country by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The 32nd Nashville Independent Film Festival will take place June 6-10.
