C. A. Litzler recently released a new flotation dryer designed to anneal and then cool a high value film web. The new design is also a cleanroom design with polished stainless steel inside and out. The heating zone includes a combination of Perfect Float flotation nozzles combined with infrared modules for additional heating energy. The cooling zone uses a cooling coil to bring the web temperature back to ambient in a controlled fashion. The dryer also includes makeup and recirculation air HEPA filtration. The dryer features polished stainless steel construction, infrared modules between airbars, HEPA filters and planar retraction.
