) announced today its CombiMatrix group's wholly-owned subsidiary, CombiMatrix Molecular Diagnostics (CMDX), has been awarded an accreditation by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists This article or section needs sources or references that appear in reliable, third-party publications. This news comes on the heels of CMDX's recent announcement that it had received laboratory certification through the federal government's CLIA CLIA Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 Congressional legislation that promulgated quality assurance practices in clinical labs, and required them to measure performance at each step of the testing process from the beginning to the end-point of a  program.
