Comarco Wireless reports substantial increase in orders.

YORBA LINDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 15, 1997--COMARCO Inc. (NASDAQ:CMRO) on Wednesday announced that orders received by its wholly owned subsidiary, Comarco Wireless Technologies Inc., were $8 million in the first two months (November and December) of its fourth quarter.

This represents a 40 percent increase over last year's $5.7 million for the comparable two-month period. In the 11 months of this fiscal year (1997), bookings have been $32.7 million, including $10 million in call-box contracts acquired from GTE in October 1996. By comparison, bookings in the first 11 months of fiscal year 1996 were $15.8 million.

Comarco Wireless provides engineering products to cellular and PCS carriers throughout the world. These products are used for wireless communications network design, network optimization, network readiness and revenue assurance processes.

"The rapid growth of cellular and PCS markets and the proliferation of numerous digital air interfaces is driving demand for our products worldwide," commented Don M.
