Coma victim revives.

Dzialdowu -- Jan Gzewski, a railroad worker, was injured at work in 1989 and has remained in a coma for 19 years. While in hospital, he was also diagnosed with brain cancer and predicted never to recover. Sent home from hospital, he was cared for by his wife Gertruda, who always believed he would recover--which he did spontaneously in early June 2007. Mr. Grzewski finds life in 2007 very different from that in the totalitarian state in which he feel asleep. Although still too weak to walk, he now speaks quite clearly and tells family members what he recalls of their conversations at his bedside while comatose. Gertruda, who fed and turned him over daily single-handedly during his illness, attributes much of his recovery to prayer.
