ComTec International hires Mitchell B. Chi as chief operating officer.

Chi will oversee the national expansion of this wireless communications company and the management of its four subsidiaries. In addition to his day-to-day operational responsibilities, Chi will be actively involved with negotiations for securing financing for this company and acquiring other companies in the SMR (Specialized Mobile Radio) The communications services used by police, ambulances, taxicabs, trucks and other delivery vehicles. Throughout the U.S., approximately 3,000 independent operators are licensed by the FCC to offer this service, which provides always-on  industry.

Prior to joining ComTec, Chi was executive vice president of Arrowhead Industries, a national computer systems integrator A Computer Systems Integrator is a position that is responsible for introducing new software applications into the existing or new computing environment. This includes the testing for compatabilty, distribution, and dissemination of related documentation. . Under his management, Arrowhead Industries revenues increased from $6.5 million to $33 million in less than two years. Chi founded a computer training company, MicroSage Inc. which was named Small Business of the Year by the Small Business Administration in 1990.

Prior to his tenure at Arrowhead Industries, Chi was a vice president at Goldman Sachs and Co., International Investment Bankers (J. Aron Division), and a senior accountant at Price Waterhouse & Co. He holds a bachelor of science Noun 1. Bachelor of Science - a bachelor's degree in science

Mack, chief executive officer of ComTec, stated that the addition of Chi to the senior management team will enable the company to aggressively pursue the acquisition of Specialized Mobile Radio See SMR.  (SMR) companies along with its goals to design strategic alliances within the industry and secure secondary financing. ComTec currently has contracts to acquire both operating SMR companies and SMR Licenses/Management/Option Agreements that will provide over 4,250 SMR channels in 42 states.

ComTec intends to provide bundled wireless solutions including enhanced Specialized Mobile Radio, Dispatch and Paging services as an alternative to expensive and overcrowded o·ver·crowd
