, Key Communications Group Inc. (Key), has consummated agreements with two Denver-based SMR (Specialized Mobile Radio) The communications services used by police, ambulances, taxicabs, trucks and other delivery vehicles. Throughout the U.S., approximately 3,000 independent operators are licensed by the FCC to offer this service, which provides always-on  companies, Mobile One Communications and Omni Range Communications.

Key acquired management agreements for 185 trunked SMR channels from Omni Range. These two transactions, combined with the recent acquisition of PCC PCC prothrombin complex concentrate.  Management, could result in Key Communications marketing the company's intended wireless services throughout the states of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico New Mexico, state in the SW United States. At its northwestern corner are the so-called Four Corners, where Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah meet at right angles; New Mexico is also bordered by Oklahoma (NE), Texas (E, S), and Mexico (S).  and parts of Texas. "We expect to begin marketing those wireless services in the Rocky Mountain region The Rocky Mountain Region is a floristic region within the Holarctic Kingdom in western North America (Canada and the United States) delineated by Armen Takhtajan and Robert F. Thorne.  within the months of September and October," a spokesperson from Key noted.

The company is planning to integrate microwave communications to connect the Colorado sites and satellite uplinks to connect sites in other states to their main Siemens Carrier Switch located at its corporate headquarters. This will enable Key to provide enhanced services (i.e. voice mail), long-distance service, monitoring and billing all from one location -- their Denver-based office. the implementation of the Siemens Carrier Switch for long-distance service is targeted for October 1995.
