ComTec International Inc.'s wholly owned subsidiary consummates agreements with two Denver-based SMR companies.DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 1, 1995--Donald G. Mack, president of ComTec International Inc. (OTC BB: NTEM) announced today that the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Key Communications Group Inc. (Key), has consummated agreements with two Denver-based SMR companies, Mobile One Communications and Omni Range Communications. Key acquired management agreements for 185 trunked SMR channels from Omni Range. These two transactions, combined with the recent acquisition of PCC Management, could result in Key Communications marketing the company's intended wireless services throughout the states of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and parts of Texas. "We expect to begin marketing those wireless services in the Rocky Mountain region within the months of September and October," a spokesperson from Key noted. The company is planning to integrate microwave communications to connect the Colorado sites and satellite uplinks to connect sites in other states to their main Siemens Carrier Switch A large-scale computer system that switches telephone calls. It is the type of telco switch used by IXCs such as AT&T, MCI Worldcom and Sprint. The primary vendors of the switches are Lucent and Nortel Networks. Carrier switches provide customer services such as 800 numbers and credit card billing, but not local services such as call forwarding and call waiting. located at its corporate headquarters.
