Govt holds meeting to prepare plan for getting maximum share from NFC award PESHAWAR, July 30, 2009 (Balochistan Times) -- The NWFP government held a high level meeting in order to chalk out a comprehensive plan to get maximum resources share for the deprived people of the province in the up-coming award of National Finance Commission (NFC). It was decided in the meeting that NWFP government should put a strong case before the federal government by designing specific goals in order to get their due right in NFC award keeping the current economic situation of the province and the needs for development in different sectors, said a press release issued here on Thursday. The issue of royalty of hydel power was also discussed in the meeting and it was decided that the government should also ask for their due royalty of hydel power generation in the NFC award. A specific time line has been also established for the next meeting of officials for the purpose to review preparation regarding NFC. The meeting was chaired by Advisor NWFP Government for NFC, Khalid Aziz, Secretary Finance Abdul Samad and other concerned officials.
