Columbian Chemicals names Jae Sup Lee president and CEO.

Columbian Chemicals Company appointed Jae Sup (JS) Lee to the position of president and CEO. Mr. Lee is already a member of the company's board of directors and served as interim president and CEO since late September.

"Carbon black manufacturers are facing significant challenges to become more responsive to our customers' business needs, and I believe Columbian is the right company to address these challenges," said Mr. Lee. "We are making the right changes to increase our efficiency; Columbian will be a different company but a better company in every regard."

Mr. Lee joined Columbian in March 2006, as the senior vice president of operations, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience with DC Chemical Co., Ltd. Most recently, he led DC Chemical's business, including products such as coal tar chemicals, BTX, phthalic anhydride and carbon black, among others.
