ColumbiaSoft Corporation has begun shipping Document Locator 2.5, the next release of its powerful document management software. Document Locator 2.5 has expanded capability for managing scanned documents, email, fax and other electronic records, plus all new project management functionality for architecture, construction, engineering, CAD, medical records, and client records.

Document Locator 2.5 has new and improved integration with Microsoft Windows(R) and Microsoft Outlook(R), providing more features for managing scanned documents, version control and configuring groups of documents related to a project or a record. Document Locator 2.5 can now launch a project and simultaneously launch all linked documents. Optionally, users can be notified if a linked document has been changed. The new product also integrates with more applications including Dreamweaver(R), Caseware(R), Framemaker(R), Pro E(R), Solid Works(R) and Microsoft Customer Relationship Management (CRM)(R). The document approval process now supports the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 21CFR Part 11 for digital signatures.
