Columbia Yukon - Exploration Update.VANCOUVER, BC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 1995--COLUMBIA YUKON RESOURC(Alberta Stock Exchange Alberta Stock Exchange See Canadian Venture Exchange (CDNX). :CYR CYR Colonia, Uruguay (Airport Code) ) Columbia Yukon Resources Ltd. reports that fill-in lines have been completed in a follow-up airborne survey carried out by Aerodat Surveys over its mining license (ML) 1506 on the Alliger Lake map sheet. The denser line spacing has extended some of the 14 single line anomalies
Anomalies is Cephalic Carnage's 4th full-length album. It was released on Relapse Records. The group expanded their sound even more than their previous album, Lucid Interval, and gained more popularity. indicated by the first phase work. Anomalies 3, 4, and 5 appear to be due to the same conductor which now has a strike length of over 300 meters (1000 feet). The claims are contiguous with the Canadian States Gas Ltd. property on which drilling has returned significant grades of nickel nickel, metallic chemical element; symbol Ni; at. no. 28; at. wt. 58.69; m.p. about 1,453°C;; b.p. about 2,732°C;; sp. gr. 8.902 at 25°C;; valence 0, +1, +2, +3, or +4. , copper and cobalt Cobalt, town, Canada Cobalt (kō`bôlt), town (1991 pop. 1,470), E Ont., Canada, NE of Sudbury, near Lake Timiskaming. Once a center for cobalt and silver mining, the area is now economically depressed. as reported in a news release received 25 September 1995. The conductors on the Columbia Yukon claim block occur in an area underlain un·der·lain v. Past participle of underlie. by layered troctolites and leucotroctolites. The conductors have a high probability of being due to sulphides including nickel-copper mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. Mentioned in: Rickets mineralization, n the bioprecipitation of an inorganic substance. in this type of geological environment. Earlier sampling of gossans (rusty zones on the surface) which coincide closely with some of the conductors returned assays in a range comparable to reported nickel and copper values obtained from the surface showings of the Voisey Bay deposit being developed by Diamond Fields. Work will continue on the property through the winter months with a winterized drill camp under construction and fuel supplies being moved in prior to freeze-up. Columbia Yukon announced earlier that it has optioned out properties in all of the four main areas in Labrador under exploration this year. The areas are, Lac Long in S.W. Labrador, Paradise River in S.E. Labrador, Harp Lake Harp Lake is a lake in north-eastern Newfoundland, Canada. in central Labrador, Voisey Bay area (including claim blocks between Tasisuak Lake and Cabot Lake to the west and claim blocks to the northwest of Voisey Bay in and around the Alliger Lake map sheet), and the Hebron-Saglek area north of Voisey Bay-Nain. A property map is available on request. The work has been proceeding on these claim blocks including the 5 channel airborne EM surveys and magnetic surveys, lake sediment sediment, mineral or organic particles that are deposited by the action of wind, water, or glacial ice. These sediments can eventually form sedimentary rocks (see rock). sampling and geological mapping and prospecting. Following a review of all the data this week, the follow-up work will be planned. Operations have been winterized and an advance supply of fuel is being moved to Nain to permit continuing ground work and drilling, where appropriate. The following companies have chosen to work with Columbia Yukon in some of the most prospective areas for mineral potential in Labrador: Agarwal Resources Ltd. (AWL-VSE) 476 claims in all areas; Consolidated Venturex Holdings Ltd. (CVA-VSE) 456 claims in Voisey Bay West (Cabot Lake) and Lac Long areas; Hyder Gold Inc. (HGI-VSE) 446 claims in all areas; Loumic Resources Ltd. (LOO-VSE) 72 claims near west boundary of Diamond Fields Voisey Bay claim block; Proam Explorations Corp. (PMX-VSE) 110 claims Saglek-Hebron area; Silverstone Resources ltd. (SVT-VSE) 406 claims in Harp Lake, Voisey Bay West and Alliger Lake map sheet areas; Sonoma Resources Ltd. (SNA-VSE) 455 claims in all areas; Yanks Peak Resources (YPR-VSE) 1032 claims in all areas; International CanAlaska Resources Ltd. (ICA-VSE) 136 claims on the south and eastern boundary of Diamond Fields claim block. Airborne surveys have been completed for 1995 on approximately 80 percent of the claims in all but the Paradise River area claims; work in the Paradise area is starting and will continue until weather precludes cost effective flying in the area. Data processing data processing or information processing, operations (e.g., handling, merging, sorting, and computing) performed upon data in accordance with strictly defined procedures, such as recording and summarizing the financial transactions of a is almost complete on the areas surveyed and a systematic evaluation of conductors is underway. Reconnaissance mapping, lake sediment sampling and prospecting has been completed for all areas and analytical work\assaying is in progress. Particular attention is being paid to claim blocks in the area between Tasisuyak Lake and Cabot Lake where drilling is planned or underway by several companies evaluating massive sulphide sulphide: see sulfide. targets. -0- Note: The Alberta Stock Exchange nor any other regulatory body has reviewed this news release and therefore do not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.
