The series is a baseball themed animation series that centers on the adventures and exploits of a baseball team made up of myna birds. Co-written by legendary baseball writer W.P. Kinsella, who wrote "The Iowa Baseball Conspiracy" and "Shoeless Joe" which was made into the movie "Field of Dreams," starring Kevin Costner.
