Columbia Sportswear's Board of Directors Names Terry Brown as Vice President of Planning/Chief Information Officer.

Columbia Sportswear Company(R), maker of high quality active outdoor apparel and footwear, today announced that its Board of Directors appointed Terry Brown, Columbia Sportswear's Executive Planner, to the position of Vice President of Planning/Chief Information Officer.

Brown reports directly to Don Santorufo, Columbia's Chief Operating Officer.

Brown joined the company in 1983 as a planner, with responsibilities for customer service and Columbia's distribution center. In 1998 he became the director of Columbia's retail division. Prior to Columbia Sportswear, Brown worked for Portland-based Jantzen, Inc. as a planner.

A graduate of Portland State University, Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, and has also participated in graduate studies at Stanford University.
