Columbia Signs USEI For Internet Services On COLUMBIA-515.WASHINGTON, D.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 1998--Columbia Communications Corporation announced today, the lease of capacity on COLUMBIA-515 to U.S. Electrodynamics electrodynamics, study of phenomena associated with charged bodies in motion and varying electric and magnetic fields (see charge; electricity); since a moving charge produces a magnetic field, electrodynamics is concerned with effects such as magnetism, Inc, (USEI). The two year lease is being used to support Internet services in Israel. USEI uplinks the service from its Wittensville, Massachusetts teleport and delivers the signal to Tel Aviv Tel Aviv (tĕl əvēv`), city (1994 pop. 355,200), W central Israel, on the Mediterranean Sea. Oficially named Tel Aviv–Jaffa, it is Israel's commercial, financial, communications, and cultural center and the core of its largest , Israel. Columbia has title to COLUMBIA-515 as well as control and operation of the commercial C-Band capacity on board two satellites in NASA's Tracking and Data Relay Satellite A Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS) is one of a network of communications satellites of the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS) used by NASA and other United States government agencies for communication to satellites or the International Space Station.
