Columbia Mountain Open Network Installs PacketFront's Fully Automated Broadband Solution.


STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- PacketFront, a leading provider of Open Access FTTH (Fiber To The Home) See FTTP.  (fiber-to-the-home) and broadband aggregation solutions, today announced the Columbia Mountain Open Network (CMON CMON Come-On ) has completed its first installation of PacketFront's hardware and software broadband solution.  broadband market, this installation is the first of many planned for the next several years for the CMON network.

The CMON initiative seeks to implement advanced open access telecommunication solutions across a mountainous, rural region of approximately 80,000 kms(squared). The first installation of PacketFront equipment has been undertaken in a pilot project located in the Municipality of Sparwood.
