Columbia Metals Corporation Limited: Update On Columbia Metals' PII Llano Colorado Project In Sonora, Mexico.

TORONTO -- Columbia Metals Corporation Limited (TSX TSX Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE before April, 2002)

VENTURE:COL) the "Company") is pleased to provide a progress report on the work being conducted on, and planned for its PII See Pentium II.  Llano lla·no

Colorado Project located in south-eastern Sonora, Mexico.

The PII claim was acquired, initially, to cover a high-grade sphalerite sphalerite (sfăl`ərīt, sfā`–), mineral composed of zinc sulfide, usually containing some iron and a little cadmium. It occurs in crystals of the isometric system but more generally in cleavable, compact masses.  (zinc) showing in felsic fel·sic

areas containing anomalous values in gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc. A reconnaissance scale soil geochemical survey revealed the presence of four, partially overlapping, geochemical anomalies complemented by anomalous rock samples (previously reported Dec 29, 2004). Additional claims have been acquired to cover all of the gossan and anomalous areas. The project area now consists of eight (8) 100% owned claims (1984 hectares).

A detailed grid with lines at 150 metre intervals was established over the geo-chemically anomalous areas and soil sampling has been conducted at 50 metre intervals on the grid. Only partial results have been received to date but the early returns are confirming and providing additional detail to the previously recognized anomalies. In the area of Buenavista Hill, location 1 described below, in-fill lines have been established at 25 metre centres and the soil sample interval was reduced to 25 metres.

Systematic geological mapping and rock sampling are being carried out over the grid area. The property geology is proving to be considerably more complex, lithologically li·thol·o·gy

Early rock sample results indicate that in addition to the eastern zinc zone at least 6 other mineralized min·er·al·ize

zones are present on the enlarged property. Some recently received results are presented on the accompanying tables. A map showing the location of the zones will be posted to the company's website following publication of this news release.

Sears, P. Geo. Q.P. are highly anomalous. The values obtained from four of the locations are presented in the accompanying Table 1.

The full significance of all of these occurrences is not yet understood. What is clear, is that at all locations, except location 6, where the weathering/oxidation is extremely intense, the results from both rock and soil samples are clearly anomalous at the geochemical level. The anomalous suite of elements, gold (Au), silver (Ag), arsenic (As), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), zinc (Zn) plus/minus barium (Ba), cadmium (Cd), bismuth bismuth (bĭz`məth) [Ger. Additional results from rock and detailed soil sampling are still outstanding but are expected shortly. An additional news release will be issued as soon as the results have been received, compiled and plotted. At this time the remaining five mineralized areas will be described and the preliminary sample results presented.

Contract specifications for a helicopter borne VTEM electromagnetic and magnetic survey to be conducted in April are being finalized.

Field work was carried out by the Columbia's Mexican geological personnel under the supervision of S. Sears, P. Geol., Q. P.

Sample preparation was performed by the ALS Als (äls), Ger. Alsen, island, 121 sq mi (313 sq km), Sønderjylland co., S Denmark, in the Lille Bælt, separated from the mainland by the narrow Alensund.  Chemex sample preparation laboratory in Hermosillo and all assay work was performed by ALS Chemex in Vancouver. In addition to the routine quality control work carried out by ALS Chemex the company has established a quality control protocol consisting of the routine use of certified standards, sample duplicates and blank samples.
