Columbia Laboratories and DesignRxclusive Increase Access to CRINONE 8% Progesterone Gel for Uninsured Patients.

LIVINGSTON, N.J. -- Columbia Laboratories, Inc. (NASDAQ: CBRX) announced today it has entered into an agreement with DesignRxclusive LLC to improve access to CRINONE([R]) 8% (progesterone gel) for patients without insurance or whose benefits do not cover this product. Under this agreement, CRINONE 8% will be the only branded vaginal progesterone on the DesignRxclusive(SM) formulary.

Mills, president and chief executive officer of Columbia Laboratories, stated, "This agreement follows our strategy to increase access to our infertility products for cash-paying patients by partnering with specialty pharmacies that focus on reproductive health. We are very pleased to work with DesignRxclusive which, through its large specialty pharmacy network, covers approximately 70% of infertility patients in the U.S. Under this agreement we expect to approximately double our cash-paid unit sales through this network within the next eight quarters and maintain our strong share of the vaginal progesterone market."

The DesignRxclusive specialty pharmacy network will actively promote appropriate use of CRINONE 8% to customers at the point of sale and to physicians through the sales forces of the 26 specialty pharmacies in its network.
