Columbia Communications in Renewal with Sprint.


WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 29, 1997--Columbia Communications Corp. announced a renewal of their two-transponder agreement with Sprint.

Columbia will continue to provide duplex DS-3 service between Hawaii and the U.S. Mainland for voice communications. The agreement also includes an option for an additional DS-3.

In announcing the contract renewal, Columbia's Hawaii-based Chairman and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , Clifford Laughton, noted that continuity of service is foremost in Columbia's planning and reflects well on the company's dedication to customer satisfaction. He added that Columbia was founded in Hawaii and that the relationship between the two telecommunications firms is a continuation of similar relationships between the Island state and its mainland neighbor, California.
