 BB:CBBO), The Dalles, Ore., reported that its board of directors declared a $.06 per share cash dividend payable Nov. 1, 1998, to shareholders of record Oct. 15, 1998.

Chief Financial Officer Neal McLaughlin commented that Columbia Bancorp has just completed a 2-for-1 stock split (effective 9/11/98) and was able to increase the $.05 quarterly cash dividend paid in previous quarters to $.06 this quarter, due to earnings growth.
