SPRINGFIELD - Roseburg came back from a seven-point halftime deficit to defeat the host Thurston Colts 33-31 in a nonleague prep girls basketball game on Thursday night.

The Indians scored the winning basket with 8.7 seconds left on a 10-footer by Marie Coen.

Jori Grady led Roseburg with 14 points and Michaela Williams added 10.

Springfield 65, South Albany 43

ALBANY - The Millers stretched an eight-point halftime lead by outscoring the host Rebels 34-20 in the second half. Lindsey Kirschenmann led Springfield with a game-high 25 points.

The Millers also got double-figure scoring from Kelly Rosin with 14 points and Carly Wiebe with 10.

South Albany was paced by Jessica Hoffman with seven points.

PLEASANT HILL - The Indians got off to a fast start with a 24-7 first quarter in the victory over the Roadrunners.

Anna Starkey led Mohawk with 18 points.

She was followed by Amber Reynolds with 11 and Michelle Cosby with 10.

Emerald Christian got 15 points from Mandy Becker.
